Introduction Battery System

May 22, 2025 / online

Explore the Fundamentals of Battery Systems in This Specialized Training Module

For high-energy electronic applications, a single battery cell is often not enough. That’s why the automotive industry and stationary storage manufacturers rely on high-performance battery packs. These systems are built following the matryoshka principle: battery cells are assembled into modules, which are then combined into packs that power electric vehicles. In this module, you'll gain a clear understanding of the components of modules and packs and learn what to consider when designing a complete battery system.

Course Summary

We’ll take a deep dive into the production process of battery modules and packs, examining in detail the key components of battery systems, such as the Battery Management System (BMS). You’ll also explore critical safety features like cooling systems and propagation protection. Learn how to handle, disassemble, and store battery modules safely — so that even beginners can minimize risks and maximize the lifespan of their battery systems.

Secure your spot today and join this engaging training module to deepen your understanding of battery systems and prepare for future challenges in energy storage technology.

TRAINERS

Maximilian Neuner - IGCV

Since 2022, I have been working as a research associate at Fraunhofer IGCV in Augsburg. In the group  »Linked Manufacturing Processes for Battery Cells«, I am primarily responsible for the equipment used in mixing and cell assembly. As part of my role, I am also involved in the design of laser cells for cell and module assembly. Through these activities, I have gained in-depth experience with the battery system manufacturing process, from raw materials to complete battery packs. I look forward to sharing this knowledge in the  »Introduction to Battery Systems« training course.
